(More customer reviews)If you are looking for a reasonably priced roof rack system, these will work.If you would rather spend more money on the actual trip than on your roof racks then these will fit the bill.

The fit and finish on this is less than stellar, and there is no mistaking them for the top of the line models.The locks are functional but when disengaged feel cheap and a couple of them actually pulled out of their housing (not a big deal, they slide right back in , but still.)

The other drawback is the instructions... or to be more precise... the lack of instructions makes this a tedious task to undertake for somebody that has never used a system like this before.But it is not rocket science, and any reasonably intelligent adult can figure it out... eventually.

The system to lock the cross bar to your roof bars, is not optimum, and very difficult to install.
The bars are light aluminium, look great, but are highly flexible. Something you would like to avoid on your roof.
Moreover, the locking system does not tighten the cross bars properly, they can slide from left to right when driving.
So, I guess you got my point,
don't buy these....
spend 3-4 time the price and get proper cross bars from thule or yakima.

(More customer reviews)I was able to easily mount these brackets on a flat surface on a utility trailer and they worked perfectly with the support bars.They are heavy duty, have a good finish, and were easily mounted in horizontal or vertical position - I wasn't sure which I was going to need to do when I started.They worked great in this non-standard situation.

Very easy to install. The rubber pad that mounts under the exterior bracket plate is a great feature.

Thule Roof Rack Gutter Mount Foot Pack (Low) Review

(More customer reviews)My rating is based on the design of the "Super High" 953 foot only, I imagine the "low" and perhaps even the "high" would be just fine. The build quality was absolutely top notch, and assembly/installation was very easy.

What is a problem is putting this long of a "lever" on to something so fragile as a rain gutter (and I have very strong rain gutters). There is simply no way to do this safely and effectively. After doing a little searching it seems most folks who buy these go an average of 6-12 months before damage to their vehicle occurs from the forces applied by such a high foot design with such a narrow base. I would not trust it to carry a package of toilet paper. Thule should have known better, they should NEVER have made the "Super High" version of these feet.

Thule Rapid Crossroad Railing Foot Pack Review

(More customer reviews)I own a 2002 Volvo V70 XC with factory mounted roof rails. These feet fit the rack perfectly. My friend owns a Mitsubishi SUV with a completely different style of factory mounted roof rails, and this product fits his car too!

I mounted the feet with no trouble and no extra tools. The Thule lock cylinders (you have to order them separately) are no problem to install. There are only two things- you have to make sure that you by the Aero load bars (these feet don't work with anything else) and you have to make sure that you buy the correct length load bars as well because of how they are constructed. I have the 53 inch load bars and they work perfectly. I suggest using the rack fitting guide on rackattack.com to figure out what size works for your car.

The solid construction and universal adaptability of this product mean that I will keep it even if I have to get rid of my car. These feet fit any shape rail securely.

I would recommend this product to anyone.

(More customer reviews)This product arrived swiftly and efficiently as per other Amazon transactions and looks like it will work out fine once the weather warms up.An annoying detail NOT MENTIONED in the description, however, is that the product INCLUDES the bow/stern tie-downs (Thule 855 Thule 855 Quick Draw Boat Bow/Stern Tie Down Rachets) that are recommended with this rack.DO NOT buy the bow/stern tie-downs as an extra item (like I did) or else you will end up with two sets of them and may end up missing the 30-day return deadline and getting stuck with them (also like I did).Other than that, the rack has typical Thule construction and will perform it's duty well once installed and the rivers thaw out.

It was obvious that someone had used it before.With that said we kept it because frankly its a roof rack and we didn't need it to be pretty.The functionality is great. Being able to remove the load bars with a push of two buttons is extremely useful.We were also happy that we could get a cargo box PLUS our tandem bike rack on this rack at the same time. You of course need to get the right cargo box to make that work. Would have gave it 5 stars if the product actually came new like advertised.

Finally, the end-caps come with the Foot pack..... So we have to purchase the foot pack for the end-caps.... I would change the rate to 4 star.

(More customer reviews)This is typical solid Thule system.The pictures of this product differ from the actual product-- notice that the picture shows the towers inserting into a slot on the bottom of the cross bar.What you actually get is different-- it is actually identical to the Thule 450 system where the cross bar inserts through a square hollow shaft in the tower.so you are actually getting the equivalent of the 450 towers, cross bars and locks, at somewhat of a discount from those parts priced separately.
System seems nice for putting on and taking off relatively easily, as for the most part I do not want to keep cross bars on car very much (just extended vacations and weekends).
